Jon Sindall BA (Hons) MA NPQH

An English teacher by trade, Jon has spent 14 years a Senior Leader and has served as a Deputy Head in two secondary schools, as Head of Secondary in a British School Overseas as an Executive Headteacher in the UK and is a PENTA qualified British Schools Overseas inspector.

Though each school he has led was contextually different, the principles that informed progress transposed across institutions. He believes that nothing worth doing can be achieved without the belief, engagement and effort of others. Appointing, developing and retaining exceptional staff is key to stability and evolving collective efficacy in staff. Jon has experience of appointing teachers on 4 continents and whilst developing appropriate Skills, knowledge and aptitudes are critical, strongly believes that identifying attitudes, values and attitudes that are equally essential in developing culture within staff.

Jon’s favourite aspect of the role is talent spotting and developing talent. International relocation is a big decision, there are many things to consider. First-hand experience of this process, as a candidate and a Headteacher, gives him a unique insight into this process. Having experienced working with Agencies who were ‘outside’ of teaching, Jon is committed to forging long term relationships with both schools and candidates, to ensure children are taught by good teachers, who receive the best development, to become great.
